Our library along with the portal Palmknihy.cz offers free e-book lending to registered readers. All e-books can be found in the library’s online catalogue, via which you are also able to borrow them.
General Information
- The service is provided free of charge to the registered readers of the Regional Library in Pardubice.
- Borrowed e-books can be read on phones, tablets and readers.
- Supported types of readers can be borrowed in the information department.
- The service is available in the library’s online catalogue.
- The loan period for e-books is 31 days, after which the loan is automatically deleted from the reader’s account (it cannot be extended or returned early).
- Readers can borrow a maximum of 5 e-books at the same time.
How to borrow an e-book?
Before the first loan:
- Register at the library and provide a valid e-mail address.
- Register on the Palmknihy.cz portal under the same e-mail address you used when registering at our library (you can check it in your reader account).
- Download the Palmknihy app to your device and log in.
E-book lending:
- Login to the reader’s account in the on-line library catalogue.
- Search for e-books.
- Borrow an e-book.
- Information about e-book lending can be found in your reader’s account.
- Open an e-book in the Palmknihy app on your supported device (phone, tablet or reader).
Reader Lending
We offer our readers the possibility of lending a reader with the Palmbooks application pre-installed. The reader can be borrowed from the information department against a refundable deposit of CZK 1,000 for 31 days for registered readers over the age of 18.
We lend readers type Onyx Boox Poke 3.
Supported Devices
The Palmknihy application is a tool for reading borrowed e-books through the library’s online catalogue. The application cannot be installed on Pocketbook, Kindle and eReading readers.
Borrowed e-books can be read on phones and tablets running Android (5.0 and above) and iOS (11.0 and above), using the Palmbooks app, or on certain types of readers.
