Want to find out how to make the most of all the features in our catalogue? Join us for a quick walk-through, where we’ll walk you through everything from managing your reader account and searching for books to making reservations, renewing loans and other great features. With this guide, you’ll enjoy all the benefits of the catalog to the fullest without any of the hassle!

You can explore our catalogue without logging in, but if you want to reserve, borrow, review or discuss books, just log in to your reader account and everything will be at your fingertips!

It’s easy to log in to your reader account – just click “Login” in the top right corner and enter your username and password.

  • Username: The number on the barcode card or email.
  • Password: When you first log in, the password is automatically set to your date of birth in the format YYMMDD (e.g. 3th February 2001 = 010203). You can change the password after the first login.

Dropdown bar

In the drop-down bar below your Reader’s Account, you will find an overview of all relevant information and functions offered by our catalogue:

  • The expiration date of your registration will show you when your registration ends to alert you in time to renew and ensure you don’t miss out on anything – not books, not bookings, not e-resources!
  • In “Settings” you can customize the language, catalog appearance, how results are displayed, set up email or SMS notifications, and adjust other preferences to make the catalog more convenient to use.
  • “Password Change” allows you to easily set the automatically generated password in YYMMDD format to a password that matches your preferences.
  • Under the “Personal Data” tab, you can review your information and change your contact information, including email, phone number and contact address.
  • “My Borrowings” shows you what you have currently borrowed and what you have enjoyed in the past.
  • On the other hand, under the “My Requests” tab you will find publications that you will only be able to read once they are ready for you to pick up at the Reception.
  • In the “My ILS Requests” section you can request interlibrary loan and monitor the status of publications already ordered.
  • If you want to keep track of your payments, the “My Charges” tab provides information on registration fee payments, service payments, and information on outstanding books if you forgot to return something on time.
  • In the “Personal Data Download” you can request that all the information the system holds about you be retrieved, and within 48 hours of the request being approved you will receive an email with a link to the downloadable file.
  • If you need access to databases such as NAXOS Music Library, PressReader, EBSCO or CTK, you can use them outside the library with “Remote Access”.
  • The “Logout” button can be found at the bottom of this drop-down bar.

Searching Catalogue

  • Search the catalogue by publication title, author, signature, topic or keywords.
  • To search for all documents we offer in the catalogue, type * in the search box and select the selected document type.
  • The search is not case-sensitive, punctuation or accented.
  • You can use the “New Releases” tab in the top gray bar or left side window to allow you to select from newly added books, magazines or board games and other materials in our catalog.
  • In the right-hand column, you will find a list of the most searched keywords at the moment to guide your search for publications in the catalogue.
  • You can use the advanced or combined search menu to help you formulate your query more precisely.

Favourite Books

All books and other documents in the catalogue can be saved to your favourites, which can be found by clicking the heart in the top left corner of the catalogue, next to your name.

  • You can save your favourite publications in this bookmark and create your reading diary in the form of a clear list.
  • Sharing your favourites is easy – you can email, export or share them using a link.

Borrowing History

Borrowing history allows you to get an overview of all previously borrowed documents. Under the “My Borrowings” tab in the “Returned” section, you will find a list of returned books with their return dates. This feature helps you easily recall what you’ve already read, plan what you want to borrow next, or revisit books you’ve come to love.

This list does not include electronic loans (e-books and e-audiobooks). You can always view only the current ones under the “My borrowings” tab in the “Electronic borrowings” section.

Book Ordering and Reservations

Books, documents and all other items from the library collection that are currently on loan or stored in the library’s depository can be ordered. You do not need to visit the library to do this, just use our catalogue.

  • It is possible to order freely available publications from our collection as well as currently borrowed titles.
  • The green box “Available” in the bottom right corner of the publication detail informs you about the availability of the publication you have searched for. Otherwise, it is the red “On Loan” box.
  • Under the information about the book itself, you can find a list of all the copies of the book in the library’s collection and its availability.
  • If all available copies are on loan, you can make a reservation using the “Get” button. Once the book has been returned, we will prepare it for you to collect at the Library Reception, where it will be waiting for you for up to 7 working days.
  • When you place an order, the system informs you whether the service is chargeable. You can check the fees in the “My Charges” tab, which is governed by the current Price List.

Extension of Borrowing

Books you have borrowed can be renewed under the “My Borrowings” tab in current borrowings. Here you will find a list of all your borrowed books.

  • It is not possible to prolong e-books and e-audiobooks. If you do not manage to finish reading or listening to the e-borrowing, you can borrow the unread or unfinished publication again after the end of the borrowing period.
  • The possibility of renewing loans from the online catalogue follows the same rules as renewing loans physically in the library.
