On June 18, on the occasion of World Day Against Elder Abuse, the traditional Steps Without Violence event took place in Bubeníkovy sady Park. This year, the event for seniors focused on safety, specifically cyber fraud and security in cyberspace. Visitors were able to learn about the full range of support available from the city Pardubice, as well as from experts from the non-profit social services sector and security agencies. The program also included preventive activities on how to avoid violence. This is also supported by a course at our library, where we teach seniors how to use smartphones.
The event was moderated by Petra Beránková and held under the auspices of Deputy Mayor Jakub Rychtecký. We would like to thank the city for allowing us to participate in the event and everyone who filled out our questionnaire.
