On Friday, June 13, our library hosted the Pearl Hunters competition awards ceremony. You can read more about this competition, which motivates children to read books and teaches them how to work with text and information, here.
Next up was Milan Halousek’s talk called Into Space with a Mole. Milan Halousek works for the Kosmos-news educational association, which aims to make space travel more popular, especially among school kids, but also with the general public.
The event concluded with an auction of the prizes, launching the June Morion Market. From June 13 to 21, all former and current participants in the Pearl Hunters reading competition can come and exchange their Morions for prizes, gifts, and small treats.
