Our director Radomíra Kodetová appeared on Czech Radio Pardubice to announce a new feature that we have been working hard to prepare for you: we are launching self-service borrowing. Yes, exactly the same as you know from the supermarket. Scan your card. Place the books on the scanner. Beep. Done.
In the interview, we explain why the library is moving in this direction. We want to make your time with us more enjoyable, increasing comfort, speed, and freedom when borrowing. At the same time, we want to make room for what is most important: human contact, recommendations, and conversations about books that will change your weekend—or even your life.
What does it mean?

- Discreet loan processing in a matter of seconds.
- More time for librarians to help you choose exactly the book you didn’t know you needed.
Technology does not replace us, but it helps us.
