On Thursday, October 9, we welcomed renowned Swiss writer Peter Stamm and Swiss Ambassador Urs Bucher to our library. Lubomír Sůva provided excellent interpretation throughout the discussion.
During the author’s reading from the book Jemná lhostejnost světa (The Sweet Indifference of the World), not only were several excerpts read, but there was also an opportunity to answer questions from the audience.
Peter Stamm’s residency in Pardubice is part of the Minout Prahu (Missing Prague) project, supported by the Větrné mlýny publishing house and the Swiss Embassy. The author is preparing a short story inspired by our city for this occasion.
Thank everyone who attended the event. It was a truly enjoyable experience.
And while we wait for the new story, you can pass the time while reading one of Peter Stamm’s books, which you can find in our library.
