On Tuesday, March 10, the regional round of the 69th edition of the Wolkrův Prostějov recital competition, organized by our library, took place at Divadlo 29. The jury, consisting of Emílie Zámečníková, Petr Váša, and Tomáš Novotný, selected six reciters to advance directly to the national competition in Prostějov, and recommended another five for participation. A notable feature of this year’s edition was the participation of a 71-year-old reciter, whose outstanding performance so impressed the jury that he was nominated for the national round, which will be held in June in Prostějov.
